Our barbecue contest is part of the annual Apple Blossom Festival and features St. Joe's largest
parade Saturday morning adjacent to the contest site.. And you may want to look up while sampling
the barbecue. The Sounds of Speed Air Show featuring the Navy's Blue Angels flight team takes
place Saturday and Sunday May 1 & 2. The Blue Angels, their crew and several other air show
participants will appear at the contest Friday evening.

The Apple Blossom Barbecue Contest has teamed up with the BBQ on the River Contest in Excelsior
Springs Missouri to present a combined Grand and Reserve Northern Missouri Champion. Our
combined Grand Champion will receive $1500 with Reserve receiving $500.

Civic Center Park just south of City Hall. Join us in our beer tent
